Acer conspicuum phoenix produce amazing winter bark colour which is a bright orangey-pink with pure silver stripes and never fails to attract comment. They always look their best after a cold winter: somehow low temperatures seem to enhance and deepen the colour of the bark, making the contrast even more vivid.  They are located just beyond the Taxodium Swamp.
