Acer rubrum

Originating from North America, Acer rubrum October Glory is known for its striking autumn foliage.  Small dense clusters of red flowers appear in early Spring, these are followed by winged fruits, joined in pairs.  Acer rubrum is located in the North American section of the Arboretum and can be seen on route to the Memorial Site.
