Cercidiphyllum japonicum

Is a deciduous tree native to Japan, commonly known as Katsura Tree.  It is grown for its Autumn colour, with its small pale yellow or smoky-pink leaves and sweetly pungent scent similar to that of burnt sugar.  Cercidiphyllum japonicum can be seen at Marks Hall in the Millennium walk.
