Koelreuteria paniculata

Published: August 2010
Provides a variety of colour with salmon pink new shoots which fade to green at the start of summer and then panicles of yellow flowers which hang down the branches in August. It has been given a variety of names including, ‘Pride of India’, ‘China-tree’ and ‘Goldenrain-tree’. It is usually planted in small numbers but at Marks Hall we decided to plant a small wood of this lovely tree just beyond the Millennium Walk.
