Sarcococca confusa

Published: February 2011

Sarcococca confusa, commonly known as “Christmas Box”.  An attractive group of small, shade tolerant evergreen shrubs.  The sweetly scented, pure white flowers open in late winter and early spring and are very fragrant.  The Sarcococca species originate in China and the Himalayas and are related to the common box, buxus. They can be seen at Marks Hall in  the Birkett Long Millennium Walk
