The most remarkable of the pinnate leaved Sorbus, and can be found in China, India and Nepal. It is composed of bold pinnate leaves up to 25cm long, glossy green narrow leaflets, which turn red in early winter. Creamy white flowers in the summer are followed by large heads of small pink fruit, which can currently be seen on route to the Memorial site.
