For many years a sought-after location for wedding receptions and other celebrations, in 2009 Marks Hall acquired a licence to hold civil wedding ceremonies. The 17th century Coach House is a beautiful building, adding hugely to the atmosphere of the occasion. A gazebo constructed in the flower garden is available for those preferring to exchange their vows surrounded by nature.
The Coach Housecan accommodate up to 120 seated guests or 200 for a buffet reception. Its French windows provide access to the terrace overlooking the formal gardens, which are in bloom from May to September.The Arboretum, ornamental lakes, cascades and the 17th century walled garden are all accessible to guests.The views across the grounds are stunning and provide a perfect backdrop for photographs to cherish.
Marks Hall can recommend trusted suppliers for all aspects of a wedding, party or other celebration but booking the Coach House carries no further obligation. It can be treated as a shell, decorated and set out to meet the wishes of those organising the event, using advisers and suppliers of choice. All weddings with reception bookings have access to the Coach House for 48 hours, so there is plenty of time to achieve the desired effect.
