The Marks Hall volunteer community supports our staff team and is at the heart of our organisation. From our board of Trustees to our golf buggy drivers, the skill and time donated to every volunteer role is essential to us.

Volunteering opportunities include:

    • Gift-Shop Sales Assistant

    • Ticket Sales & Visitor Welcome Support

    • Golf Buggy Drivers

    • Guided Walks Leaders

    • Outdoor maintenance teams provide year round practical support in the Arboretum and Woodlands.  These teams meet every Tuesday.

We want our volunteers to have the best possible experience from the time they spend with us. If you are able to make a regular commitment and would like to learn more about volunteering opportunities please complete our volunteer enquiry form or contact our Volunteer Co-Ordinator:

Applicants must be over 18 years of age.

We also work with companies and businesses who dedicate a day to volunteering with us. This can be a really positive experience for your organisation and has significant team building benefits. It helps the team at Marks Hall to protect this special place for future generations. Please contact Nanette if you are interested in discussing this further.

Retirement can be hard to come to terms with after working for over 50 years.  I started coming to Marks Hall to walk the woodlands and Arboretum.  One day I filled in a volunteer form on impulse.  Now I volunteer here two days a week and have the chance to meet many like-minded interesting people with similar interests. My role here is varied and can be huge fun.

Peter, volunteer at Marks Hall.
