Marks Hall offers visitors a volunteer-driven buggy service.

Please Note: During our Sculpture Event 20th July- 31st August we are running a buggy shuttle service, from the Visitor Centre, as an alternative to private bookings. A £1 charge per person, per journey applies. It is not possible to book seats but please call our Visitor Centre on 01376 563796 in advance, to confirm the service is operating on the day you plan to visit.

The route passes the former mansion and church sites with views of the Arboretum, wonderful vistas across the lakes and through the woodlands.

Whilst the buggy is unable to drive into the Walled Garden it can take passengers up to the gates, where wheelchair access is possible in Spring, Summer and Autumn. Benches are located throughout the gardens.

We have two golf buggies available, Buggy 1 carries up to 3 passengers, Buggy 2 carries up to 5 passengers. There is a charge for the service to cover operational costs.

During our Sculpture Event 20th July - 31st August we will be running a shuttle service from the Visitor Centre as an alternative to private bookings.

On special event days buggies are not available for private hire instead a shuttle service runs from the Visitor Centre. A £1 charge each way operates during these events.

Normal Admission Fees Apply

It is possible for both buggies to be hired at the same time.

Pre-booking is essential, buggies must have been booked at least 48 hrs in advance of your visit.  To make a booking or to discuss your requirements please contact the Visitor Centre on 01376 563796 or email [email protected]

Unfortunately our buggies are not adapted for visitors who are unable to move from their wheelchair unaided. Staff and volunteers are always on hand to offer support to ensure the requirements of all visitors are catered for, however, we do not have a hoist. Passengers will either be required to lift themselves into the vehicle or be accompanied by someone who is able to provide them with the assistance they need. Up to one wheelchair can be carried and stored on each buggy.
