We're open to all visitors We're delighted to announce that we will reopen our café and shop to visitors on Saturday 4 July, with stringent social distancing measures in place. As per Government guidelines, indoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to two households (including support bubbles) while outdoor gatherings should only be occurring in groups of up to 2 households (or support bubbles), or a group of at most 6 people from any number of households. You can see the full guidelines on the Government website. Visiting Marks Hall Estate, the café and shop will be quite different for the time being, we’ve listed below some of the main changes you will experience. Please have your membership card ready. We cannot allow access to the Estate without seeing a valid membership card. You can purchase an admission ticket at the kiosk. We are taking card transactions only, no cash. During your visit please respect social distancing guidelines and keep 2 metres apart. Hand sanitiser stations have been placed at our admission points which we encourage all visitors to use. Toilets are open, to access them please queue up the ramp in front of the Visitor Centre. The Orchard Kitchen is open, the entrance is located through the back doors of the Visitor Centre. The Plant is open, please follow social distancing guidelines when entering. The shop is open with a minimal offer. Please ask a member of staff for assistance if you'd like to see any products. You can have a picnic on Pound Field only, this is over the Iron Bridge. Please take any rubbish with you when you leave, which will help us to keep the Arboretum and Woodlands clean and safe for all wildlife and visitors. Orchard Kitchen The Orchard Kitchen is serving a range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, soups, jacket potatoes and light bites, including our Children’s Boxes. We also have some delicious cakes and cream teas. Following Government guidelines, when you purchase food and drink at the Orchard Kitchen all visitors will be asked to provide us their name and contact details. This is to assist NHS Test and Trace to help contain clusters or outbreaks of Covid-19. We will securely store your data for 21 days and then destroy it. How to order Only one person per group to queue to place an order, rest of the group please take a seat When ordering let us know if you are eating indoors or outdoors Your order can be collected from the Food collection point When you have finished your meal please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided outside or place the tray in the stand when eating indoors Please note no crockery is being used at this time. Your food will be served using compostable takeaway packaging and cutlery. We take the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and volunteers very seriously and at any time we may need to close or change how we do things at short notice.
