About the artist:

I studied graphic design at South East Essex School Of Art. After leaving I worked as an Art Director in a London advertising agency and later as the creative director. Painting began as a relaxation from commercial work and was based on local landscapes after moving to Suffolk.

I had my first exhibition in 2010 and was lucky enough to have a sell out. From then on painting has occupied over half of my working time. Sunrises and sunsets, reflected light, passing storms, clouds and dissolving mists; all have had a visual effect on me which I try to capture in my work.

My paintings, in all mediums, take a relatively short time initially to get to the stage when the fiddling, adjusting, altering, the moving of small bits as well as the overpainting of large areas, colour changes to earth, water and sky all starts until I capture the image I am seeking to achieve.
